Welcome to both (Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Cohen)'s students. We will be working together this year to try some new methods in teaching Calculus. First, our book is an open source text known as Whitman Calculus. You can download it a chapter at a time, use it on-line, print a chapter, or order a printed copy for about 9 dollars (plus shipping).
The second big change this year is an on-line homework system called webwork. You should bookmark the Lowell High School Calculus Webwork page for future use. One of the questions in the Calculus information form asks for a password you will use in webwork. Please be sure to remember the password you have requested. You can change your password once you have logged into the system. We'll have more to say about webwork once we start using it.
